Kristen - South Location

Kristen grew up with a passion for animals of all shape and sizes, and started as a veterinary assistant 6 years ago in her home town of Springfield, Missouri.

In 2021 Kristen moved to Asheville and became a member of the Asheville Veterinary Associates team. She has had the chance to get to at both our West and South locations over the past 5 years and was promoted to Hospital Manager at Asheville Veterinary Associates South in June of 2026.

She is grateful to work in a field where she can provide compassionate care to pets and the people who love them.

When Kristen isn’t working, you can usually find her hiking or playing video games with her wife, Merriel, or spending time with her many beloved animals. Her animal family includes Jane, her 13-year-old border collie; cats Hiccup and Chappell; Earl, a leopard gecko; Mustard, a hognose snake; and jumping spiders Dillweed and Sage.
