Dr. Lord grew up in small-town Texas and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in Austin. She then spent the next few years working in both pet training and veterinary settings in Austin, where she further developed her passion for animal care. She received her veterinary medicine degree from the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. Her areas of interests include preventive medicine, ophthalmology, and surgery. Outside of the clinic she can be found exploring the Asheville food scene, making arts and crafts, and spending time outside with her Boston Terrier, Hazel.
